Kullu Manali Airport

Kullu Airport is located 10 km from the Kullu town in a place called Bhuntar. The Kullu airport code is KUU. This airport connects the entire Himalayan region with rest of India by air. It is known as Kullu – Manali Airport and is well equipped with modern amenities.  This provides one of the easiest ways to reach Manali, as all transport facilities are available in the airport viz taxis and buses.

There are direct flights to and fro to Chandigarh, Delhi and Jubbar Hatti of Shimla. Manali being the most visited place in Himachal Pradesh, the airport attracts visitors throughout the year. The Airport ambience and the comforts make the visitors comfortable. It has a restaurant and small snack joints providing different styles of cuisines and a Book Stall with various kinds of books for the entertainment of visitors.

The distance from Kullu Airport to Manali is about 50 km and travel time by Car is between 1-1.5 hours. Regular taxi services are provided to Manali from the Kullu Airport.  The taxi fares to Manali are fixed by the Bhuntar taxi union and varied from time to time according to the seasons. Taxi bookings to Manali should be done in advance to avoid any inconvenience.
