Shimla weather in April
Shimla is always a tourist choice because of its pleasant and cold weather which is always there. However summer like in plains which is accompanied with scorching and problematic heat is rare. April means the blossoming time in the year and beginning of summer and therefore the best time to visit shimla. In April new life is emerging. In shimla the wait is over for just sitting in sun and gossiping. The orchard growers are hopefully caring their trees just like kids and other wild fauna is growing and struggling at their own.
The sunny days are lengthier as compared to winter and warmer. Tourists can see variety of floral plants in forest and gardens. Trees like Pinus, Cedar, and Rhododendron etc have completed their flowering and it’s green all over. Winter dormancy is thrown and wild/cultivated plants begin to grow. Due to flowering one can see colorful butterflies and different flies.
The temperature varies from 27oc during days, allowing visitors to wander around and its bit colder in nights with temperature dipping to 14oc. During this time, shimla becomes crowded and over packed due to rush of tourists. Since it’s too hot in plains, visitors plan visits to shimla to get respite from heat. The days are warm and nights are cooler but pleasant.
Occasional drizzling and thundershowers is enjoyable while hail storms can be ruining sometime when the tourists are out on sightseeing. Rivers and lakes are full due to snow melting, so it provides a better time for river rafting adventures.
Time to wear summer lighter clothes and get rid of heavier one. However, light woolen clothes will also be utilized if it rains. Check out hotels and reservations so that accommodation does not create any problem. Make your stay comfortable and visits to different tourist spots during the month of April in shimla will add to joy.
