August month is one of the monsoon months in Sangla. As far as tourism is concerned, hotels are running at normal business but in the week having the 15th August holiday there is huge rush in Sangla as tourists are able to spare 2-3 days combining the weekend and this holiday.

From July to September Sangla witnesses monsoon. The temperature during monsoons ranges from 15 o c -25 o c. Heavy ceaseless downpours quenches the thirsty earth after two months of hot summer. The seasonal waterfalls, natural springs, rivers and ponds blush and get flooded with a renewed and recharged spirit. However Sangla is not flooded as the water drains out quickly. There may be minor landslides here and there but there is no disruption of rail and road traffic.

Sangla is also a holiday destination in July and one of the best times to visit. You can get respite from the hot and humid weather of the plains.
