Chandigarh railway station is located on the outskirts of Chandigarh between Chandigarh and Panchkula. One side of the railway station is connected to Panchkula and the other to Chandigarh and Mohali.

On arrival of important trains the government run CTU (Chandigarh Transport Undertaking) local bus service is also there from Railway station to sector 17-bus stand. The bus is parked in the bus parking and starts ten minutes after the arrival of the train. If you are looking to travel by bus in a cheap ticket be fast to boar the train immediately after arrival of train other wise you will miss the bus and there is no other bus service.
