Maa Bhimakali Temple Mandi

Himachal Pradesh is a state of Gods and Goddesses. People worship the deities here with full reverence and faith and receive their blessings. Every temple in every district of the state has its own specialty. Similarly, Maa Bhimakali Temple is situated on the banks of river Beas on Mandi-Pathankot National Highway in district Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Maa Kali is a form of Durga that is widely worshiped in the north eastern parts of India. This temple of Bhimakali is located just 1 kilometer from the main bus stand Mandi.

At this place Lord Krishna killed Banasura. After Krishna, this temple was built by his Yadav followers. Mata Bhimakali is considered to be the Aradhya Devi of the kings of Rampur Bushahr and the famous temple and main temple of Bhimakali Devi is believed to be in Sarahan.

Mother is sitting on the third floor

The importance of this temple is also no less and Kali Devi is worshiped here on a large scale every year. The temple complex is quite beautiful and is approached by a long, winding path leading to the second floor and then to the third floor. Mother sits on the top floor.

Beautiful garden is also here

Due to the efforts of the local temple institute, a beautiful flower garden has been built in the temple premises of the mother here. Along with this, full care has also been taken of children’s entertainment. The temple institute has also decorated the river banks very beautifully. On the right side of the temple, the idols of the lions are made beautiful. Statues of Pandavas going to the forest have also been installed at this place, which reminds us of the Pandava period.

How to reach

Auto service is available at all times till the temple. Pathankot to Jogindernagar can be reached by railway route and the distance from Jogindernagar by road is 57 kilometers. Bus services are available from Chandigarh all the time. If you have to come by another rail route then it can be reached by road via Kalka or Shimla.
