Rohtang Pass in February 2023

Located 51 km from Manali town Rohtang pass is the most visited destination to enjoy snow. It is at a height of 4111 meters on the Manali Keylong highway.

During the month February, Rohtang Pass is blocked as there is always heavy snowfall during January and February, it is not safe during this time and therefore visitors are not allowed to enter the pass. During this period unexpected snow showers are experienced and if they are heavy, vehicles are stuck and there’s no safety measures could be taken and this is the reason the roads are blocked. The snow in the pass during this time would be of 4-5 feet high. It varies accordingly, if there’s less snowfall and the roads after inspection are safe then , the roads are opened for visitors. During this time as the roads to Rohtang Pass are blocked, snow and the sports like paragliding ,skiing and snow biking are  enjoyed in Solang valley which is about 8500 ft high. Atal Tunnel may or may not open due to weather conditions prevailing at that time.

Rohtang Pass in March 2023

The highest point on Manali – Keylong highway is the Rohtang Pass with the altitude of 4111 metres. It is the most favorite spot to enjoy the snow. People can enjoy watching snow on these hills almost throughout the year. The Pass is 51 km from Manali town.

To enjoy playing on snow and not being get wet, can hire warm clothing available there. Tourists can enjoy having fast food items in the stalls on the roadside of the Pass.
